The Language Gallery Canada offering
scholarships for online English courses
to essential workers worldwide
Essential workers from all over the world are risking their lives
and taking action to fight the spread of covid-19.
The virus has impacted every one of us, and frontline workers are making a meaningful difference through their selfless actions. The Language Gallery Canada is showing their appreciation to those on the frontline of the pandemic by inviting them to take part of the fully funded TLG Live online courses, which will provide them with English skills they can benefit from and continue to contribute to their communities.
TLG Live is the newly launched online program by The Language Gallery Canada. The scholarships consist of 8 weeks of live online and interactive classes delivered through a secure Zoom platform (flexible hours), as well as group activities and self-study resources. These classes will allow both Canadian and overseas front line workers to improve their English skills from the comfort of their homes. Scholarships are available throughout the summer.
Suzanne van Beek, Interim Manager at The Language Gallery Canada, said: “At TLG we are committed to support our essential workers in every way we can. We can support essential workers in their learning journey with us. Our staff and teachers have made this possible by providing great support in the transition to online learning as part of the current coronavirus pandemic.’’
